Here we have an exceptionally fine First World War Austrian-Hungarian army belt buckle in excellent condition. It is constructed of stamped brass with applied belt catch. The Austrian double-headed eagle is in raised relief and exhibits excellent detail. The brass is with an attractive age toned patina and shows little wear from field use. This buckle dates from approximately 1900-1916 and would have ceased being used after the end of the First World War.
