WW II Russian Beret with USSR Emblem and Mith Holes.
This Russian wool beret has its share of moth holes and stories. My husband and I worked in Kiev for USAID in the late 1990s. A young Ukrainian who was detailed to our work unit gave my husband this beret. Hid dad, who later died in combat, had taken this beret as a trophy of war. I know the color depicts rank but I don’t remember more of the details. The leather band is intact as is the lining. The emblems are original.
