vintage Taxco, Mexico, 'Pluma Azteca' silver-plated square tray /wall plate charger is a great find.
Created by Los Castillo, famed silversmith masters from Taxco, this plate shows the unique design known as Pluma Azteca.
It's a technique of embedded
real bird feathers
in resin.
The design on this plate is a snake/serpent with two heads, made from 1950s-1970s.
Hallmarks on back read LOS CASTILLO TAXCO.
The plate is very good preserved for its age; awesome patina tarnish on silver-plating from years enjoyment.
