Soviet Russian USSR Medal Order of the Red Star #1,367,784, with research, awarded to
Engineer Lieutenant-Colonel Sergey Leontevich Draganchul,
a staff officer of the 4th Air Army and later
Senior Officer of the 5th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense
, for
“special missions”
in 1944-1945 on behalf of the army Command.
During offensives in Belorussia, Poland, and Prussia, Draganchul carried out
special missions
from Command to ascertain the supply status of the army’s forward airfields. The accurate information he provided allowed Command to make important decisions, and the assistance he rendered to the units he inspected improved their combat readiness.
Draganchul’s Red Star citation was signed by the army’s deputy commander, Lieutenant-General Korotaev. At the time of awarding, Draganchul was a Senior Lieutenant.
After the war, Draganchul rose to the rank of
Engineer Lieutenant-Colonel
. The
5th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense

development of anti-aircraft systems
