[SNAKES ON A PLANE]. ELLIS, DAVID R, SAMUEL L. JACKSON, & JULIANA MARGULIES. Snakes On a Plane - Screenplay by John Heffernan - Revisions by David Loucka, Sheldon Turner, Chris Morgan, Sebastian Gutierrez, James DeMonaco - Current Revisions by Sebastian Gutierrez. Los Angeles: New Line Cinema, 2005. Original 110 page shooting script that belonged to the film’s director, Davis R. Ellis. The script has the title Pacific Air 121 under which the film was shot. On the title page, Ellis has written the new title “Snakes On A Plane - All my best - David Ellis” in gold ink. Bound in the director’s own personal black leather spring binder with PACIFIC AIR 121 blind-stamped in the center of the front cover, and with DAVID ELLIS blind-stamped in the lower right hand corner of the cover. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson and Juliana Margulies. When Jackson signed on to the project he was told the title of the picture was Snakes On a Plane, and when they changed it to Pacific Air 121, he adamantly insisted on the earlier title. A cult film that became a prerelease sensation on the internet. Director David Ellis (1952-2013) was a rising director of supernatural and action films who passed at the early age of 60.
