Original CCCP Russia / Soviet Union - Medal for Combat Merit.
#2345193 - The serial number indicates that this medal was issued in the first half of 1945.  I understand that this medal is made of silver and that the serial number is attached to a specific soldier ( can be researched through military archives in Russia).
From a Vietnam War veteran's collection, who acquired several of these medals during a trip to Russia in the 1990s.
The medal measures approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter and with the ribbon measures approximately 3 1/2 in length.
Total weight 22 grams.
