Original WW2, Order of the Red Star, number 1378321, with research Order was awarded on 05/06/1945 for action on 04/09/1945. Recipient was Dmitry Fedoseevich Alexeev, Commander of Calculation Platoon of the HQ Battery, 10th Guards Airborne, Order of Alexander Nevsky Artillery Regiment, 7th Guards Airborne Dvision. In the fight for Vienna, Austria, directed the firing to destroy 2 mortar batteries, 6 machine gun emplacements, 1 tank and a company of Infantry. During enemy tank and APC counterattack, Motchev displayed unique organizational expertise and courage, personally guided battery fire to repel the counterattack. Shows heavy wear with a lot of the detail gone from the central element. Heavy scratches to the enamel. The enamel at the right point of the star is light, probably as a result of stress, and is chipped. Comes with a transcription from the archives and a translation of that.
